Did you know that soybean oil has a long list of benefits when it comes to your skin!? Its molecular structure is very small, which allows it to easily penetrate the skin’s outer layer and work its magic. As your Isle soy candle melts, you can dip into the warm (not hot) melted oil for use directly on your skin.
I know, it sounds a little weird…but trust us, you'll quickly fall in love!
Here are a few of our favorite things about using our warm soy oil on your skin:
Improves Moisture Retention – Rich in both Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, applying the soy oil will help restore collagen and increase skins elasticity. The copious amounts of Vitamin E act as a powerful antioxidant which builds up your skin’s barrier and protects against free radicals, irritants and pollutants that are known to cause rapid signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, and discoloration. A stronger skin barrier will lock in moisture, and ultimately result in healthier, brighter and more youthful looking skin.
Anti-Inflammatory Benefits – Vitamin E (found in the soy oil) has anti-inflammatory properties which can prevent skin swelling and redness following overexposure to UV rays. It’s not an alternative to sunscreen but consistent usage can help boost sun protection. The anti-inflammatory properties can also help reduce the appearance of acne, scarring, and blotchiness from skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea as well as help calm the complexion, soothe skin and reduce irritation.

STEP 1
Let your Soy Lotion Candle burn until a pool of oil forms. Always burn candle until the melted oil pool covers the entire top surface of the candle to prevent “tunneling” and promote even burning. For safety, extinguish the flame before dipping into the moisturizing soy oil.
STEP 2
Take a Dip™ into the warm (not hot!) melted oil. The oil will feel like warm bath water as our candles burn much cooler than paraffin wax candles. Always remember to trim the wick to 1/4 inch before re-lighting. This will allow the candle to burn at the proper temperature and prevent the wick from breaking off and falling into the candle.
STEP 3
Apply generously to the skin. The warm soy oil will penetrate deeply to help smooth and moisturize your skin, leaving you incredibly soft and silky! Unlike with your chips and salsa, double dipping is always allowed with candles from The Isle.
